O_o;; This is called screwing around and wasting time when I have better things I should be doing.

Still, I like it. In fact, I like doing mandalas. I should do more. They're just so trippy and... round. I like round. Round is a good shape to be. I'm also fascinated by compass roses. I think it's the symmitry, the romance, and... the, er... pointiness, believe it or not. Anyway, I've just always liked them. So the two kind of came together.

I think it turned out rather... wicked. :) I especially like how the silver points turned out. They look like blades to me.

It does indeed look quite good, like something you'd find on an RPG map. Nice looking stuff!

this completely kicks ass!!
i love the colours, the fancy lil symbols and the fact that it looks dark in some way...it just has this feeling about it....I cant explain it, but its cool. nice job :)

Very nice. I also too enjoy the "pointiness" of the piece. Your choice in colors is good, and the feel definitely has more than a hint of wickedness. The only criticism I have is that the grid pattern in the center is a little too bold, and it distracts from the rest of the organic feel of the rest of the piece (also the slight delineation of the red background just doesn't pull it back together enough, though I'd have to see it without to really tell.). Overall though I think you have a very well done work of art here. :)

The silver points do look like blades! It's almost creepy against the red background. I especially like how you did the letters for the directions. :D

Oh, very interesting pattern. :nod: I love all the shapes and the symmetry of it, very nice. The colours are wicked, too, especially in the middle - lovely job. :)

I'm going to be doing a full back tattoo of a compass rose and i was looking for somethign a little... different. this definitely inspires me. Hope thats ok with you :)
